We are excited to announce that we just released Complete Ear Trainer version 2.9.0, Complete Rhythm Trainer version 1.9.0 and Complete Music Reading Trainer version 1.9.0 on Google Play Store and Huawei AppGallery
These new Android versions have been rewritten from scratch in Kotlin and now uses the Compose framework. They follow the design and patterns introduced by our recent iOS Swift/SwiftUI rewrite, which will allow us to iterate quickly and maintain feature parity across all platforms.
Improvements:
- The user interface has been modernized, and the app is now more consistent with its counterparts on other platforms
- In Complete Rhythm Trainer, the audio engine will no longer lose sync with the cursor in case of occasional performance issues on a device
- All screens now use adaptive layouts and should look great on all devices and screen sizes
- On tablets, when there is room for it, a side menu has been added to quickly navigate to various app sections
- The app now respects the device’s preferred font size where possible
- Two new options can be found in the app settings to increase or decrease the user interface and font sizes
- In Complete Music Reading Trainer, a setting has been added to increase or decrease the virtual keyboard key size
- When there is room for it, a theme switcher button is now displayed in the toolbar to quickly switch between light and dark themes
- A lot of bugs and visual inconsistencies have been addressed
Please note that:
- These new versions will be deployed progressively, so you might not see the updates immediately
- Minimum Android version version is now Android 7.0
- Starting with these versions, we will no longer publish app updates to Amazon Appstore
Statistics
We also released new versions of Complete Ear Trainer and Complete Music Reading Trainer on iOS which add statistics, similarly to what already existed on Android.
Statistics are now cross-platform (Android/iOS, and soon Complete Music Trainer): if you enable cloud-sync, your statistics will be available across all your devices on all platforms.
